Les puits et l'eau
Beaucoup de maisons anciennes de Pouzols possèdent un puits comme celui-ci. Ici le système de puisage est simple (un seau et une chaîne pour le remonter), mais certains puits possédaient une pompe à chapelet. Sur la place, existait un tel puits jusque dans les années 70 où la pompe a été supprimée pour augmenter le stationnement (Voir le texte de Michel Brengues).
Les réseaux d'eau et d'égouts communaux ont été installés en 1962-63. Déjà certains foyers avaient installé une pompe électrique sur leur puits qui mettait l'eau courante au robinet. L'évier s'écoulait alors dans le ruisseau du pluvial, le WC dans une fausse privée. Les autres avaient un sceau hygiénique qu'ils allaient vider au vallat sous le pont (Voir le conte de Joseph Coste) ou sur le tas de fumier du cheval.
